Combining Belgian paintmaking expertise with local manufacturing, we develop products and complete coating systems for residential, commercial and industrial applications. Our portfolio spans architectural finishes, waterproofing, concrete protection, industrial flooring, and coatings for wood, metal and marine use.
Waterproofing is a core area of our expertise. From manufacturing and system selection to technical guidance, contracting and application, we support projects from surface preparation through to completion.
Alongside our three product ranges — Chemical Coatings, Gero and Paintex — we offer colour matching, custom formulation and private-label manufacturing for commercial partners.
We remain a family-led company, building on 45 years of experience to serve architects, engineers, contractors, distributors and project owners in Lebanon and export markets.

Our story
A partnership that became a family.
In 1981, Belgian paintmaker Bruno De Clerc knocked on Fouad Kadi's door with an idea: start a company together.
That conversation became Chemical Coatings, and Fouad's brother Jihad later joined them. European formulation expertise and Lebanese manufacturing became the foundation of a family-led company that continues to manufacture in Berbara to this day.

The two had met while working at a paint manufacturing company, where Fouad had learned the trade from the ground up before taking on the factory's management. A year and a half after Fouad left, Bruno — who had also since left the company — came to propose a partnership.
That conversation became Chemical Coatings. Fouad's brother, Jihad, later joined them, bringing together a partnership that would shape the company for decades.
European formulation expertise and Lebanese manufacturing became the foundation of the business. As its products and capabilities grew, so did the relationships behind it. Many long-serving employees came from Berbara, and the two founding families became — and remain — close.
Bruno passed away in 2006. His contribution remains part of the company's knowledge and identity.
Through Lebanon's wars and economic crises, Chemical Coatings has continued to manufacture, serve its customers and build for the future.
